Actively and sustainably managed trees and woodlands provide multiple services for individuals and society. Growing recognition of these services has created a favorable funding landscape from which landowners and organizations can benefit. We can secure your funding and help you to realize your aims and objectives.
We offer a national service on Woodland grant applications, with a focus on Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Woodland Creation Funding
Grants such as the England Woodland Creation Offer and Countryside Stewardship Woodland Creation Planning Grant can fund part or all of your woodland creation project. We can manage the grant application process and write your Woodland Creation Plan, ensuring that you have all the resources, permissions and support needed to deliver your project.
Woodland Management Funding
Funding options such as the Woodland Management Planning Grant can fund part or all of the costs of producing a UKFS compliant Forestry Commission approved Woodland Management Plan. We can manage the process of producing a scientifically informed plan that is fully personalised to your needs, from securing your funding, through to carrying out consultations, completing surveys, and submitting the final draft of your plan.
Countryside Stewardship: Higher Tier funding can help to finance Woodland Management through a mixture of multi-year agreements and capital item payments, with or without an approved Woodland Management Plan in place.
Tree Health Funding
The Woodland Tree Health Grant as part of Countryside Stewardship can provide support with the cost of removing diseased trees and/or infected Rhododendron, and with the cost or restocking after felling due to a tree health issue. We can advise on the process, secure your funding, and ensure that you have all the necessary permissions in place to recover and restore your woodland.
Woodland Carbon
We can register your proposed woodland with the Woodland Carbon Code to help you secure long-term revenue for the carbon you sequester.
We can also advise you on the process of having your project validated.
