Nicholas Baxter
Founder and Principle Consultant
Nic began his forestry career as a Woodland Officer with the Forestry Commission, administering forestry grants & regulations on behalf of the government. Most recently, he worked as a Beat Forester for Forestry England, leading a team of professionals to manage 10,500ha of multi-functional forest in Northumberland, Durham and Cumbria.
Initially employed as a gamekeeper in the North York Moors, Nic’s love for forestry began when he won a post-graduate scholarship to study forest management at The University of Padova and the University British Columbia. During this formative period, he made contributions to primary research and took inspiration from the different management systems that he encountered across Europe and North America.
